He was remembered by friends and family as being a kind-hearted, free-spirited man who would do anything for those he loved.
Jonathan was a Navy veteran who served our country proudly during the Iraq War.
Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Paramus.
A funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. May 4 at the funeral home, followed by a 1 p.m. funeral Mass at St. Michael R.C. Church in Palisades Park.
Burial is private.
Jonathan is survived by his wife Alexandra (nee Vinas); parents Rosemarie and Manfredo J. Gomez; siblings Rosemary Garcia, Sheila Gomez, Manfredo Gomez Jr., Zamira Gomez, and Lexy Gomez.
He was the loving son-in-law of Craig and Patricia McCoy and Andrew Vinas Sr.; brother-in-law of Andrew Jr., Dominique, Aliyah and Sarah Vinas, Naiasia McCoy and Alcira Gomez; devoted uncle to Leya Cabrera and Ethan and Emma Vinas.
He is also survived by his puppy Sampson.
